On January 27 of each year, International Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorates the victims of the Holocaust, the genocide of European Jews by Nazi Germany between 1941 and 1945.

World Leprosy Day

World Leprosy Day is held throughout the world on the last Sunday of January each year to raise public awareness about leprosy and Hansen’s Disease. The date was chosen by French humanitarian Raoul Follereau in remembrance of Mahatma Gandhi, who had empathy for persons suffering from leprosy. On Sunday, January 23, 2024, World Leprosy Day will be celebrated.
